David Sawadogo

Dr. H. David Sawadogo is a Burkinabè Family Physician committed to promoting health and improving the well-being of individuals and communities.He holds a Master’s degree in Community Health and Epidemiology and is particularly passionate about disease prevention, public health, and community health improvement. Trained and equipped in Essential Surgery, he is actively involved in the management of obstetric and surgical emergencies, including cesarean sections and other life-saving emergency surgical procedures. His work in this area aims to reduce maternal and child mortality, especially in resource-limited settings (SIM Medical and Surgical Center of Piéla). As a specialist in Family Medicine, Dr. Sawadogo is also deeply engaged in the training and mentorship of healthcare professionals, contributing to the strengthening of Family Medicine practice and education. He serves as the Academic Coordinator of the Francophone International Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine, jointly organized by CMC Vellore, Loma Linda University, and ICMDA. Furthermore, Dr. Sawadogo is actively involved in Christian physicians’ networks and associations, where he promotes a medical practice that integrates scientific excellence, ethical values, and compassionate care in service to individuals, communities, and populations. He also serves as the Francophone Africa Regional Representative of ICMDA and as Vice President of AMDCB. Dr. Sawadogo is married to Nathalie, and by the grace of God, they are currently blessed with two daughters.
