    Dr. Seyoum Antonios

    Dr. Seyoum Antonios is a general surgeon by profession currently practicing in Bethel Teaching General Hospital. He is also involved in training of medical doctors in Bethel Medical College at an assistant professor level since 2009.

    In 2007, together with his wife Saba, he established United for Life Ethiopia, a non-governmental organization which is pro-life and pro-family and has been active not only in Ethiopia but across Africa, standing against detrimental policies that are being pushed into the continent of Africa by western nations, the various UN agencies and other international organizations.

    In June of 2019, he became the African Director for Family Watch International coordinating its activities in different parts of Africa especially at the African Union.

    Seyoum and Saba have three grown up daughters.

    Mike is a doctor and Mandela Washington Fellow (Business and Entrepreneurship)  with extensive experience in healthcare delivery, entrepreneurship, and management. He is passionate about sustainable health financing, health systems strengthening, and the utility of affordable innovations in healthcare delivery.

    Mike has been a technical lead in health finance and systems strengthening consultancies at local, regional and global levels. He has helped develop global, national and sub-sector guidelines and worked on primary health, provider payment mechanisms, private  health sector, health financing reforms, equity and accountability. He has consulted for the World Bank Group, Global Fund, World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, UN Habitat, PATH, the Presidential Advisory and Strategy Unit (Executive Office of The President of Kenya), Amref Health Africa, and has provided advisory services and technical assistance on systems strengthening to various health sector stakeholders in East and Southern African regions, Asia and Europe.

    Prof Dr Lucky Yona, PhD, DBA, is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of finance and accounting. He currently holds the position of Director of Research, Grants and Partnership at the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), where he leverages his vast experience to promote research, foster collaborations, and secure funding opportunities. He holds a doctorate degree in finance (PHD) and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Masters of Business Administration (MBA), a CPA holder, credentials that affirm his deep knowledge in business management and finance. As a professor of finance and accounting, he is esteemed for his ability to distill complex financial concepts into understandable lessons for both novice and advanced students.

    His extensive contributions to the academic community include authoring ten books and publishing numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals. These works reflect his profound understanding of finance and accounting, alongside his ability to conduct rigorous research. His breadth of knowledge is widely recognized within his industry, leading him to be sought after as a consultant and international trainer. Before joining ESAMI, he built a rich and diverse career working with various international organizations, always striving for excellence and contributing to the development and success of these institutions.

    Beyond his professional and academic accomplishments, Prof Yona is deeply committed to his spiritual calling. As the Senior Pastor at Arusha Christian Worship Centre, he passionately serves his congregation and community. His work as an Pastor and Evangelist has made him a beacon of faith and hope to many.

    At the heart of his multifaceted life is his family. A dedicated husband and father of two sons, he seamlessly balances his demanding roles, embodying the essence of a modern-day, well-rounded individual.

    Dr Amon Ngongola is a Pediatric Surgeon based in Lusaka , Zambia.  He is a passionate Christian and is currently serving as part of the National CMF leadership.  He is married to Ruth Nkandu and they have 3 boys. Amon is passionate about mission work as well as training and mentoring medical students and doctors in serving all people through the grace and love of Christ.

    Dr Saria Paulose, trained as Anesthesiologist, has been working with Emmanuel Hospital Association, (EHA) India in various leadership roles since 1992. EHA is a fellowship of 19 rural hospitals and 48 community health projects across 9 states of rural North India. Currently she is the Executive Director of the organization. Prior to the current role she led the administration at Duncan Hospital Raxaul, Indo Nepal border a 200 bedded hospital of EHA and EHA HIV/AIDS programs based out of Delhi.

    She is married to Santhosh Mathew and have 2 grown up children.

In 1990, in London, the Lord Jesus called Andrew to work with people living with HIV, and in 2005 to start Champions for Life, to give the Lord Jesus’s love, care, and support to adolescents living with HIV through collaboration with the local church, CMDFs, HIV clinics, and Pharma.

    Sally John

    Sally John qualified at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa as a Counselling Psychologist in 2000. She completed her Internship at McCord Hospital, a mission-based hospital in Durban. There she developed, with successive interns and trainee psychologists, a Department of Psychology.

    Amongst trauma debriefing and general psychology work, Sally was tasked with interviewing and supporting intern medical students. She became aware of many challenges that they faced. Her student psychologists conducted support groups for new and permanent staff doctors. This was particularly needed in the early years of the HIV era.

    Sally retired after 20 years in the hospital. In the last 8 years of her hospital career, Kwazulu-Natal Department of Health took over McCord Hospital so she and her team rotated around several government hospitals and rural health clinics. She completed a PhD at the University of Pretoria in Indigenous Knowledge Systems, in particular, the use of traditional stone games to heal traumatized children.

    Biography

    David is a volunteer with the Christian Medical Fellowship and is the editor of the magazine Triple Helix. As editor he commissions writers and with other members of the team, edits articles prior to publication.

    David is married to Maggie nad has 4 grown up children and 7 grandchildren.

    David will be studying for a Masters in Christian Thought and Practice from September at Spurgeon’s College in London.

    Academically, David is a Visiting Professor at the University of Greenwich and has published papers i(135 publications) n the field of Ethics, Swallowing, Dysphagia, Frailty and Stroke. David is Chair of the UK Swallowing Research Group.

    Clinically, David is a consultant physician in Older People’s Medicine (Geriatrics/ Frailty) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South East London.

    David is a board member of Integritas CIC which provides health care to people behind bars. Integritas has a particular Spiritual/ Health care mission in the Philippines.
