John Whitehall

John is a now retired Foundation Professor of Paediatrics at a Sydney University who continues as a part-time paediatrician at a Sydney Hospital. He has worked in UK, Asia, Africa and America, subspecialising in neonatology before assuming a predominantly teaching role in ‘tropical’ and general paediatrics. In 2016, hearing of the surge of gender dysphoria in children, claims that puberty blockers were ‘safe and reversible’, cross-sex hormones appropriate and surgical reassignment possible, he began a critique which has led to media and court presentations, and ‘interviews’ with authorities. Fortunately, the right for scientific discourse has prevailed.
