Colin is a family medicine and public health doctor from South Africa. After 8 years in a rural hospital in South Africa, he spent two years in medical mission work in Nepal and later 10 years in Malawi working with HIV and TB programs. He is currently the Senior Regional Advisor for Southern Africa for the NCDI poverty network, which seeks to establish clinics for patients with advanced NCDs in district hospitals in low- and middle-income countries.

Dr Pablo Noël
Dr Pablo Noel, panamanian physician and born again christian since 2013. I got my Ph Degree in Internal Medicine and Dermatology from the University of Panama and now work at the Social Security Health System in Panama City and in the Panama Clinical Dermatology Center.
Since 2017 I’m leading the Panama Christian Health Association that is a member of ICMDA. -

Dr Tygie Nadesan
Tygie Nadesan is a South African, Christian by faith, living in Durban where he practices as a Family Physician.
He has worked with medical students and graduates for more than 40 yuears, helping them to be witnesses for Christ through the field of medicine. He currently serves as regional secretary for the Southern African chapter of ICMDA.
He is a lay preacher in the Full Gospel Church of South Africa.
His wife is Saras and together they have three children and seven grandchildren.
He takes every opportunity to sing for the Glory of God.

Dr Johannes Fellinger
Biography:
Johannes Fellinger, M.D, P.D., is Head of the Institute of Neurology of Language and Senses
at the Hospital of St. John of God in Linz and Head of the Research Institute for Developmental Medicine, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria.
After finishing his medical degree, he specialised in Neurology, Psychiatry and Neuropaediatrics. During his residency, he noticed a lack of medical services available for Deaf people and started an outpatient clinic for the Deaf. Over the next years, Dr. Fellinger
founded the Institute of Neurology of Language and Senses. It grew into a multidisciplinary
Institute, including a neurological and linguistic clinic, a paedoaudiological centre with an
early intervention program for deaf and hard of hearing children, a centre for autism spectrum disorder for children, adolescents and adults and an outpatient clinic for inclusive medicine.
Additionally to his clinical work, Dr. Fellinger is involved in research, particularly in the field of developmental medicine, with a focus on Deafness, mental health, Quality of Life and autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Fellinger teaches developmental medicine and associated fields at the Johannes Kepler University, Linz as well as at the Medical University Vienna at the Institute of Public Health.
Since 2009, Dr. Fellinger has been involved in the WFD (World Federation of the Deaf) as an
expert on mental health and as of 2016 he is part of the Expert Group on Human Rights.
Dr. Fellinger has been the key initiator and developer of therapeutic living communities for adults who are deaf and have multiple disabilities in Austria.

Dr Calum Miller
Dr Calum Miller is a medical doctor, philosopher, and ethicist, whose research is on abortion policy. He has published on many topics, particularly abortion and maternal mortality, and was a tutor at the University of Oxford for 4 years. He has been spoken on abortion to many professional groups and politicians around the world, having been hosted by the Philippines Medical Association, the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Uganda, and the White House, among others. He regularly appears on mainstream media in the UK.

Dr Shari Falkenheimer

Sharon A. (“Shari”) Falkenheimer, M.D., M.P.H., M.A. (Bioethics), PhD is board certified in Aerospace Medicine. She has over 40 years of experience in a variety of roles including teaching, applied research, clinical medicine, medical leadership and planning. She mentors the Albany (NY) Medical College CMDA group and has taught in 30 nations. Dr. Falkenheimer is an international advisory board member of the Christian Journal for Global Health, a member of the American Academy of Bioethics, and a life member of the Christian Medical Association.

Dr Mfanelo Sobekwa
Mfanelo is a medical doctor with postgraduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine. He has great passion for teaching, research, caring for vulnerable populations, missions and reaching out to students. He graduated from the University of Cape Town and practices in the government sector in Gauteng, South Africa. He serves in ICMDA as the Regional Representative for Southern Africa and Saline Process Multiplying Trainer for Sub-Saharan Africa. He is also on the national board of Christian Medical Fellowship South Africa. He is married to Ana.

Dr Mark Pickering
Dr Mark Pickering is the Chief Executive of CMF (UK/Ireland). He is based in London where he also works as a secure environment GP (in prisons and similar institutions). He previously led student ministry for CMF and for ICMDA. In these roles he has developed many partnerships with organizations in student ministry, bioethics and advocacy, global mission and evangelism/apologetics. He has a long-term interest in apologetics, particularly around biblical reliability, Islam and science/faith issues.

Dr Alan Gijsbers
Associate Professor Alan Gijsbers MBBS, FRACP, FAChAM, DTM&H, PGDip Epi, retired in Sept 2022 from being a specialist physician in Addiction Medicine in Melbourne, Australia. In the mid-1980’s he worked as a general physician at the Christian Medical College and Hospital Vellore, South India, with Interserve Australia. He is a past National Chairman of the CMDF Australia, and he is a current board member and chair of the governance committee of the ICMDA. He is past-president of ISCAST – an Australian Organisation for the dialogue between science and the Christian Faith. He is married to Lois. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Dr. Kizito Asava Shisanya (MBChB, MMed Surgery, UoN) is a Consultant General Surgeon & Senior Lecturer in Department of Surgery, School of Medicine at Kenyatta University, Kenya, East Africa.
